The second-oldest ballpark in America, Chicago's beloved Wrigley Field was built in 1914 as Weeghman Park, home of the short-lived Chicago Federals. The Cubs first played here in 1916 and the park was renamed Wrigley Field in 1926. The structure has been modified extensively since its construction to accommodate new fans, with rearranged seating sections and the addition of upper deck and box seating. The ivy-covered outfield, bleachers and hand-operated scoreboard were added in 1937. Lights for night games were added in 1988. Read more:
